Women And Alcohol Study

This confidential study offers FREE outpatient treatment to adult women seeking treatment for alcohol problems. If you are eligible to participate, you will receive 2 hours a week of free individual and/or group treatment for 9 weeks. In addition, you will receive a free medical evaluation and compensation for research interviews. The treatment is provided at New Leaf Treatment Center in Lafayette, CA.

This is a confidential study that has been funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH, NIAAA) and is being conducted by the Public Health Institute’s Alcohol Research Group.

Eligible women will be asked to participate in 4 study interviews over a 12 month period. The interviews occur before you start treatment, again after you complete treatment, then 6 and 12 months following your treatment. You will be compensated in gift cards for each of these completed interviews, up to $180.
